Giving back to the Community and the Arts

Supporting the Central Florida community and local charities is important to Resource Consulting Group. Employees are given paid time off to volunteer and support local & national charities. We also support charities as an organization. Whether it’s serving meals at the Christian Service Center or adopting families during the holidays, Resource Consulting Group understands the importance of supporting the local community and trying to make a difference in the lives of others who are underserved or less fortunate.

It's blue bag season, and we couldn't be more excited to help out our friends at the Christian Service Center for Central Florida again. If you're interested in participating in their holiday food drive, there's still time.

You can visit for more information.

Thank you to Wealth Advisor Linda Palonen for leading our adopt-a-family initiative year after year. This year our employees adopted three families and bought, wrapped, and delivered gifts of toys, children's clothing, and grocery gift cards. We hope our gifts offer these families encouragement this holiday season.

RCG Vice President and Wealth Advisor Kimberly Sterling (pictured here with her family) participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday morning. Kimberly joined an extended team that worked to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association®. The walk is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. For more information or to find a walk near you, visit #RCGgivesback

Last Thursday, RCG staff members gathered to volunteer at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida Thrift Store in Winter Park. Proceeds from the store help support the 35 clubs across the region, which serve more than 15,000 children each year. #RCGgivesback

Yesterday 10 local nonprofits came together to seek their day of victory. Allotted 2 minutes and 30 seconds each, they told their stories and showed a room of over 400 local professionals how they're changing lives and shaping the Central Florida community for the better.

Congratulations to all of the participants in the 2018 Victory Cup Initiative, including the recipient of RCG's 3rd place prize: IDignity. #RCGgivesback

One of RCG's favorite ways to wrap up the year is by participating in our annual adopt-a-family project led by Wealth Advisor Linda Palonen. For the 12th year in a row, employees came together and donated their time and treasure to supply gifts and holiday spirit to families in challenging circumstances.

At RCG, we're grateful for the opportunity to give back. We wish all of you a joyous holiday season and a happy new year. #RCGgivesback
RCG Vice President and Wealth Advisor Kimberly Sterling joined Bev Seay at the Support Our Scholars 2017 Fall Reception. The annual event raises awareness for Support Our Scholars while also thanking existing sponsors.

One of RCG's favorite Thanksgiving traditions is filling up the blue bags for the Christian Service Center to help families in need during the holidays. A big thank you to Wealth Advisor Helen Mize and Director of Financial Planning Nicole Regilio for coordinating the food drive and delivering the bags on behalf of the firm.

Did you know that one filled blue bag can help feed a family in need for a week? To learn how you can participate in the blue bag initiative and to see a list of non-perishable items needed, visit the Christian Service Center's website at: #RCGgivesback

RCG President Johnnie James and Business Development Director Gregg Biro put their golf game to good use yesterday by participating in the Dr. P. Phillips YMCA Annual Golf Tournament. 100% of the funds raised by the event go back to scholarships for local famillies in need. #RCGgivesback

RCG had the honor of adopting four families over four counties this holiday season, granting them their holiday wishes by supplying them with presents and meals. The tradition, spearheaded by Wealth Advisor Linda Palonen, is in its eleventh year and continues to grow thanks to the support of our gracious employees. #RCGgivesback

The blue bags are back and RCG couldn't be more thankful to fill them up and help feed families in need this holiday season. To learn more about the initiative and see a list of non-perishable items needed, visit the Christian Service Center's website at: #RCGgivesback
RCG’s Director of Business Development, Gregg Biro, had the pleasure of attending the “Where There’s Goodwill, There’s a Way” breakfast yesterday in support of the Goodwill Industries of Central Florida. The breakfast served as a celebration of those directly transformed by the work of Goodwill and its donors and sponsors. #RCGgivesback

Nicole Rutledge Regilio, Director of Financial Planning, and Helen Mize, Wealth Advisor, spent yesterday volunteering for Second Harvest Food Bank. The two had a wonderful time putting together meals that help bridge the nutritional gap that occurs during the summer months when school is not in session and cafeterias are inaccessible. #RCGgivesback
