Personal Thoughts

They say with age comes wisdom. I would also add that with age comes gratitude. I grew up a “navy brat” with a father out to sea most of his career and who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor. We moved every two years to a new base while our mother kept our military family intact. Together they both formed in my subconscious strengths and values I would eventually need to face the obstacles in my own life’s journey. You never know how grateful you are to the people that played a significant part in your life until faced with your own situations or until they are no longer here to say “Thank You!” to.

Being raised military, I was brought up to be responsible, set and achieve goals, and stand by with empathy and support for others in times of need. “Perseverance” became my middle name which has more than paid off while I raised a daughter on my own. Little did I realize, until I saw her accomplish her goals, I too was building in her subconscious the same strengths and values she needed to succeed, as my parents did for me. Life truly does come full circle.

As an advisor, I am grateful to be able to play a part in making clients’ dreams come true. Clients become family instead of just another asset under management. My responsibility to help them set and achieve their lifetime goals, to offer counsel with family issues, to share experiences, and give guidance to help them persevere through good markets and bad markets is truly fulfilling. I am thankful Resource Consulting and I crossed paths and share the same values. They have helped me make many of my dreams come true and I believe our clients feel the same way.

And for those of you who are wondering, a coin CAN bounce on tightly made beds and there is such a thing as a military bedsheet corner. Trust me!
